Bristol City Council has been consulting on proposals for the A4018 radial route into the city from Crow Lane roundabout to the top of Blackboy Hill, and including Westbury Village.
BWA has made a range of comments on the aspects of the proposals that affect pedestrians. Our comments focus mainly on shared use with cyclists, pedestrian crossings at junctions, and better use of road space within Westbury Village.
The proposals for Westbury Village have encountered a barrage of criticism, so it is likely that further consultation will be required for this and that changes along the main road will happen first. In any case, further formal plans will have to be published before any changes take place.
