The consortium that is developing Temple Island, next to Temple Meads Station, is undertaking a second round of community engagement prior to detailing their plans. Eventually, the plot is expected to accomodate homes, offices, retail space and a hotel and conference centre. This is in addition to the university accomodation already approved.
BWA has submitted some initial comments. We are concerned that access to the site from the south is very difficult for those on foot or using public transport. Given the large number of people that would be expected to use the site, we have pointed out that any development must address the issue of pedestrian access.
